She has worked with us at roots for over a year and a half Hannah is all around a rockstar, she graduated high school this year with her associates degree during a global pandemic! Come say Hi and Bye to @amazing__graces . Tomorrow is her last day as she is moving to Florida to fufill her internship. Thanks to Covid19 we only got to work with her for a month, even though she was hired at the end of February Grace is a hard worker and driven so I know she is out to do big things in the world. She graduated Ilwaco High and Clatsop Community College in 2018, then this year she graduated Central CWU with her bachelors in Food Science Nutrition!!! Grace ...loves running, She ran track and cross county for Central, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and anything outdoorsy!!! Roots weekly update during the corona... We are still open this week and will have our full menu for the next 2 days or until we run out of ingredients. Then we will switch to a very limited menu (coffee/tea, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, juices, and snacks) along with limited hours 7-11 for at least 2 weeks. I have been torn these last 2 weeks as I was going to close when the schools closed. However, I had a large amount of requests to stay open by customers with under...lying conditions that rely on our drive thru for healthy meal options. We will continue to be here for our customers that are so busy being there for our community! We just feel that during this time we need to limit our hours to decrease Covid 19 exposure. Also, there are many delivery options from some great places along the peninsula! If anyone needs anything outside of our hours please reach out and I’ll see what we can do. Oh my gosh this #coronavirus has this lady with all the feels of a Mom/Wife, and stresses of the small business owner in a super rural service driven community! A super tight knit service industry too! I'm a customer of so many of my customers Roots is about to enter it's 6th summer and in August celebrate our 5th year in business. And man I'lltell you, I had to strategize so hard to drag people to come to Ilwaco for coffee or foods...ask a local if they thought this li...ttle dream of mine was gonna make it... In Ilwaco???? I still hear "good luck, nothing in this building lasts!" I still reply with "Thank you! We are going on year__! I built this business by word of mouth, not advertisement or luring streetside marketing, but mostly word of mouth with a side of social media, food quality commitment, but most importantly who I hire to work here! We are 100% a team and these are the ones who I choose to be the face of my mission and vision of Roots They become family and they choose this job as a part of their life and commitment to me and you to be a piece of our world that makes our life a little easier and always deliver legendary service. Roots is also a part of their lively hood financially, and that is what I have been working on this week. Stay tuned to what our plan is going to be starting next week.
